Accommodation at College House is perfect if you want to immerse yourself in the full experience our Summer School has to offer. Living in provides you with your own single room in one of the eleven Houses on the site, with all your meals catered for in the large dining hall.
There are plenty of spaces for you to relax & unwind, this also gives you the opportunity of interacting with other 'school residents' outside of the classroom, so you can make new, & catch up with old, friends. You will also find it easier to 'walk home' if you decide to enjoy a wee tipple or dram in the party room after the evening dances 😊
We will be showing you the rooms & giving more information about College House in the next Newsletter 😊
But if you are thinking of renting a house locally & commuting each day, there are many houses that are available for rent over the Summer School period, and some are quite close to College House 😊 Air B&B is just one provider which has lots of options & price ranges on their books - we do advise you to get in early if you are wanting to rent a house for one couple, multiple couples, for families - the options are almost endless!
Even if you do rent a house nearby (or are a local school commuter), you are always welcome to join in with the meals & the activities / entertainment we will be running at College House outside 'class' times.
We will need to be advised if you are joining us for any lunches & dinners, so we can make sure the catering staff have you covered 😊
So let's assume you decide to be 'living out' & commuting to the Summer School each day, & you will take care of breakfasts before heading off to your morning classes. And, you would like to join in with the midday & evening meals (saves grocery shopping, & cooking, & cleaning up ....😊) at College House - lunches will cost you a mere $24.00 , and dinner only $30.00
Letting us know well in advance is preferred, especially if there are any dietary requirements you may have (including any Cultural requirements) so we can ensure you are catered for.
We will also do our best to cater for lifestyle choices, but please understand some may be difficult for us – contact the Organiser if you have any questions.
We will be adding to this info page as the months progress - so please bookmark the website & keep coming back. We will also be popping updates on our facebook page - so 'like', 'follow' and comment 😊
Thanks - from the SS2020 team
